Central Coast Energy Services’ Workforce Education and Training Center (WE-TC) addresses five key areas:
Over the course of six months, WE-TC Trainees gain valuable industry experience in energy efficiency, fuel switching, heat pumps, and electrification. Trainees learn to combine HVAC, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, diagnostics, and building science to maximize residential energy efficiency. They gain skills and knowledge through classroom and hands-on training and apply their new skill set in the field alongside CCES' energy experts. The opportunity for long-term career growth is a key benefit of WE-TC. Upon successful completion of the paid training program, WE-TC graduates may be considered for regular employment with CCES.
Work on real projects with Central Coast Energy Services energy experts! This training opportunity is completed in a cohort setting. Participants progress through the training program together with their peers. All instruction materials, uniforms, and field supplies are provided by Central Coast Energy Services.
