Randy Pozos is an anthropologist, public health planner, and futurist. He received his doctorate in Social Cultural Anthropology and his master's degree in Public Health planning from UC Berkeley. Randy has a bachelor's degree in philosophy and biology from Gonzaga University. His career has focused on the development of outpatient services and leading-edge medical devices. Randy's research and activism in social inequality have focused on removing social and cultural barriers to healthcare. He has worked on immigration rights for refugees and asylum seekers as well as child and family services advocacy for the Lakota Sioux. Randy worked with the Catholic Diocese of Monterey on converting churches and schools to solar power. His current community education work with the Spanish speaking focuses on home and vehicle electrification. Randy helped to establish the Santa Cruz Welcoming Network, an all-volunteer network accompanying over 65 refugees and asylum seekers from over 10 countries. Randy earned a master's degree in Pastoral Ministry from the University of Santa Clara. He is an ordained Catholic Deacon serving at Our Lady Star of the Sea in Santa Cruz and works on environmental justice for the Central Coast.
