Peter Odryna has been active in technology development for over four decades. He began his career in technology at the University of Connecticut and then at Carnegie Mellon University in graduate studies, doing research in predictive analytics and numerical modeling, receiving his B.S. and M.S. degrees in Electrical and Computer Engineering. He joined Silicon Compiler Systems, where he served as an executive and key architect for the industry's first simulation backplane, Simulation Manager, and developed the ADEPT transistor-level algorithm, the M Hardware Description Language, and the Lsim simulation system.
In 1991, Mr. Odryna founded Precedence Incorporated, where he served as President and Chief Executive Officer, quickly growing the company into the leading supplier of co-simulation technology and solutions. Through his technical and business leadership, Precedence achieved a growth rate of over 70% per year, and was acquired in 1995 by Mentor Graphics Corp. Mr. Odryna, who lives in Santa Cruz, California, has served on the board of directors and as an advisor of many technology, internet, and non-technology companies.
Following his retirement from technology he is currently a part-time architect helping clients with remodels and new home construction and part-time CEO and CTO of SocialEars Corp., a California based company that focuses on social analytics for marketing agencies around the world.
